How the property is owned will dictate how...</title><content type='html'>Julie-&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How the property is owned will dictate how it is controlled.  For example, if I have stock that is owned in my name, and I die, my will (with some exceptions) will direct what happens to it.  If that same stock certificate is titled in the name of a trust, the trust document dictates what happens to it. Who knows exactly when a Trust was written since it doesn&amp;#39;t have to be submitted and date stamped.
